On Wednesday 24 July and 7 & 21 August 2024, the Groeneveld boathouse of the Royal Dutch Rescue Society (KNRM) Katwijk aan Zee will be open to visitors.
Between 7pm and 9pm, everyone is welcome to get information about the rescue work, view the rescue boat 'Edit Grondel' and other equipment. Photos and video films illustrating the work of KNRM will also be on display. In the rescue shop, original items will be for sale, the proceeds of which will benefit KNRM's rescue work.
In addition, the fire brigade, police, ambulance service and the Katwijk Rescue Brigade will be present with vehicles to explain their work. The Katwijk Police Dogs Association will provide demonstrations on these evenings to highlight their work.
